Valances that are used to top off windows with long curtains create a posh layered look. This treatment if used alone doesn’t offer much covering for your window. So if you have privacy issues it is advisable to combine valances with other window treatments. You can hang valances in numerous ways. It can be hung straight down from a curtain rod or in swag like style for variation.
