Helen knew that the client meeting next week was very important for her company. She and her team worked very hard on the presentation which she would have shown the clients. It was already 1pm and she was running a little behind schedule. She asked the office boy to help her put all her stuff in the car which she was taking to the airport. She gave her handset and hands-free to her assistant who knew how to connect motorola bluetooth headset. She did what was necessary and returned it to Helen. On the way to the airport, Helen took care of important calls and went through her last minute presentations on her laptop. Once she got off the car and went inside the airport departure terminal building, she realized that she had forgotten her briefcase in the car. She quickly called up her assistant and asked her to keep the briefcase safely once the car reached the office and fax the files. She checked into her hotel and went through the files that her assistant had faxed across as per her instructions and managed to strike the deal with the clients the next day. It was her presence of mind that helped her manage this crisis situation. |

Thus, if I am a applecare consumer, do I need applecare protection against any illegal service that would interfere with my account? As a trusted service, they always ensure that every account is securely kept against any hackers or unauthourized users. The computer lab is one of my best hang out places because that is where my boy friend works and it just feels good when I am around him. We do not talk a lot when he is working but just the thought that I am around him makes his day. So whenever I have time in between classes, I go the computer lab to see him and say hello. There are times when you enter the computer lab, it is very deserted, because people do not have an research papers and assignments that are due. When you near the middle of the semester when mid semester exams are coming up and nearly all the assignment and term papers are due, the computer lab is usually extremely very crowded. This is the time where everyone is using their ipods to save their work so that they can print it. When you go to the printing station, you are going to find at least one ipod in one computer and if you are not careful you might remove someones iPod. That is when I ask my boy friend how do i identify my ipod. He tells me to ensure that I have closed everything on the iPod and then I can just pull it out. He says that my documents would not get lost because none of them is running when am ejecting the iPod.

Recently, my grandmother was gifted with a touch screen phone. Now, keep in mind that grandma still calls DVDs “tapes”, so you could conclude that she has no idea what touch screen smartphones are and how they work.
One day, she asked me to teach her to use it. She was flipping it over, asking “where’s the on button?” It was already turned on and explained to her that it was simply on standby. As the screen lit up, so did her face. “Finally!” she exclaimed. Until light went off again! This “tutoring session” went on for an hour until she tossed the phone aside, exasperated, and said “Well, that’s why they’re called ‘smartphones’ you need to be a genius to work it!”
It got me thinking about how complicated phones are nowadays. Sure, it’s convenient but, for me, it’s unnecessary. What started out as a portable phone is now a portable computer-phone-TV-bank! We’ve taken something simple and complicate it to a point where we don’t know how to use it anymore.
Granted, grandma grew up in a different era. Still, I think she was on to something…no wonder they’re called “smart phones”. |

I am not particular to any brands or styles of cellular phones, as long as I can text or call my contacts. Many people that I know are very eager to get the latest brands and styles just to fit into the trends. A week ago, my brother asked me to accompany him as he buys a new cellular phone. He bought a new iphone 4G that was way too expensive, I did not even expect he could afford to buy one for himself. I guess he really saved much from his salary just to buy such phone. As a gift from accompanying him to buy such phone, he handed me his old iphone. Although I am not really familiar with its features, I was managed to learn on it. There was one time when I attended an important meeting, my phone suddenly rang and I could was not familiar on how to mute it. The first thing that came into my mind was how do i mute my iphone? Some of my co-workers were already laughing at me while I was struggling to put it on silent mode. I guess there is still a lot to learn about this unit. This is just one of the many things I hate about having such phones compared to those that can easily be used. |

People are raised up differently. There are those who have been taught the value of family and why it is important to always value family and share things together. Then there are those people who are raised to believe everyman for himself and the concept of sharing is not normal to them. Then there are those who are brought up in an environment where having sex before you are ready for it is wrong. You will find that such people will one way or another maintain this and will not steer away at any given time. Then there are those who have been brought up in an environment where sex is a normal thing and people should have it as long as they are using protection. Such people find that being a virgin will bring a virgin problem especially when they decide to finally have sex. This us the type of perception that people have about sex and they find it really strange when someone says that they are not that experienced when it comes to that. |

Imagine walking to a place or driving to a place that you have no clue where it is. You may have the name of the place but you dot know how to get there. It would be disturbing and there is a way to solve this which is by carrying a map of that area with you. The map will enable you to go ahead and when you are stuck you can stop and do map reading until you are sure you know what route you should take to get where you are going. Some people mostly ladies say that they can not be able to read maps and would therefore be good traveling with some one else who is good in reading maps. Maps are like instruction manuals and one should make sure that they understand what is written in manual and be able to translate it to action. Getting samsung instructions manual is easy even if you lose the original one you can still go to a samsung dealer and request for one. Most of the times they give the manuals to all who have receipts that show that at a a particular time they bought a samsung item. |

I like it today because many manufacturers include a detailed instruction manual on every item they produce. This is an advantage to consumers because we do not need an extra help after purchase since we can learn how to use the items on our own. Consumers do not even have time to learn these items in details and with a detailed manual, they can learn bit by bit everyday. A friend the other day had a bt line installed in his office and there was no need to ask 'how do i phone bt' from their customer service because the user manual had everything one would want to learn about the phone line. I purchased a very sophisticated coffee machine and I learnt how to use it on my own from its instruction manual. However, not every manufacturer is doing this, therefore costumers should be very careful when purchasing. A detailed manual will give you less stress as you use a new item unlike an item that has no manual at all, or a very shallow manual which is difficult to understand. |

Mike is a very busy teenager. When he turned sixteen, we seldom get to see him at home. In the very few occassions that he is home, he often locks himself up in his room and spend almost all of his time in front of the computer. But one nice thing about him is his ability to fix a lot of things. When my tv set was not functioning well, I asked him to check it out and to my surprise, he was able to fix it. The same thing happened to my old radio, which Mike fixed and so now it's good as new. It was always like that at home. Mike is everybody's "go-to-guy" when it comes to these things. Yesterday, as I entered his room, I saw my dad there. He was looking very serious and then I heard him ask Mike, "why is my zune not turning on? I am so worried that I might not be able to use this thing anymore. I hope you can do something about it, Mike." Oh, I just hope Mike's "powers" wouldn't fail this time. |
