Sweetest Memories of My Wedding Day

I am happy to share the greenish memories of my wedding day. I had just finished my higher secondary course and the result of the examination was released on the same day of my marriage and so, I was greatly nervous. I was sleepless the whole night and so I felt a little sick next day. I was worrying about everying - from the pashmina shawls the bridesmaids were going to wear, to making sure all the guests were going to turn up. In our community, bride and groom do not meet each other before marriage and so there will be a great expectation in both of them. I would be able to see my husband only when we were taken together to his house. But that too, the bride will be covered with a long thin veil. When we stepped down the stairs together, he climbed down fast and told me later that he did so, just to help me see him. Those are the sweetest memories that would linger in my heart for ever.
