Recognizing the Absent Parent Rights of my Ex

I raised my daughter alone. Her father left me for another women a few years back. The man and I have common friends and lately, I have been hearing that even if he is currently in a distant state, he is expressing interest on meeting our daughter. I am not against letting my daughter and her father meet each other. In fact, I will be the happiest person to know that my daughter can finally see her other parent. She is always asking me about his identity and although I have very little knowledge of his whereabouts, I always tell my daughter and she and her father will surely meet one day. I am interested to know about absent parent rights. I want to seek legal advice from the experts relative to this matter. I know that my former lover has his rights to our daughter and I am willing honor it. I will allow them to see each other as often as they want if this is what will make my daughter happy.
