A Facebook Trick That a Friend Pulled off on Usposted on 16 May 2013 in Arts and EntertainmentI am sure everyone has heard of Facebook, the phenomenal site that made connecting with friends as easy as 123. I myself enjoy using Facebook for it is a way for my colleagues and me to connect outside of work. Well, everyone has lives outside of work and has different rest days so it helps us stay connected. Imagine how your friends would react if they suddenly get a notification that says facebook account disabled when they try to access your profile. I remember some of my friends went berserk when they got this error when they try to send a message to one of our friends who went on a long leave. Everyone was worried and had panicked a bit. When my friend came back and my friends asked about what happened, she smiled sheepishly and said that she disabled it on purpose. When I asked why, her reply was I just felt like doing it. We were shocked and just looked at each other in disbelief. When everyone recovered, she sure did get an earful from us. |

My Secret Dinosaur Garden in Suburbiaposted on 16 May 2013 in Construction and IndustrialMy house is placed on its plot of land in a very awkward way - the back garden is of a decent size - enough to house even up to three tents (yes, I measure my garden in a novel way!), but there is a strip of land approximately one metre wide and five metres long that exists beside the house as a sealed dead end. Until my daughter's third birthday, this area was used only as a dumping ground for dead container plants, grass clippings and bags of compost. We fondly called it the 'nature area' although the only nature was next door's cat. Then my daughter got hooked on dinosaurs. All that she wanted was to have a dinosaur of her own - she repeatedly asked if we could perhaps keep one in the garden. We explained that they are extinct, but then we had an idea. Over the next month we secretly converted the 'nature area' into a dinosaur habitat with a gravel path running between pots of ferns and horsetails. A friend came over and painted the fence with a mural of a fern forest with dinosaurs grazing in the distance. On her birthday we took her out and got her to explore the area until she finally uncovered her own 'pet dinosaur' toy nestled in the undergrowth. She will be 17 years old next birthday, but she still insists that we maintain the 'dinosaur garden' in her honour. Samsung Phones That Have Full Key Pads Give Motivation to Send Text Messagesposted on 12 May 2013 in TechnologyThere is this Samsung phone that I had that never gave me the urge of sending people short messages. This is because it was too small and the keypads made a noise every time that I tapped in to them and that made me just call and receive calls only. Well when Samsung phones started advancing so did I advance too. I bought a phone that had a full key pad and that is when my friends realized that given the right motivation I can text them round the clock which I did. The first days were hard though, I would call the samsung phones helpline to ask them where the function key was and how I was supposed to type in numbers and they helped me without thinking that I was dumb. The problem I had with the numerical numbers was how to insert them in a text message and I learned that I had to simultaneously press the shift key and the number and it would show itself on the screen which worked all the time. |

Things to understand about crisis management on phoneposted on 11 May 2013 in TechnologyCrisis management on phone is directed towards managing psychological being of humans who are placed in a threatening situation. When the U.S recording its worst break of the tsunami in 2008, the crisis management team in a Florida based company exemplified what it means to be good at talking over the phone. The team was able to put itself in an emotional state of the scared callers who were watching their homes and loved ones taken away by the water from the tsunami. They were able to calmly direct hundreds of people to safety despite their being in mental instability that could have led them to ruin. The teachings from the efficiency of a crisis management team are also found on howdoyoufindoutwhocalledyou.com from where anyone who is scared of being stalked on phone can be calmed down by experts who are witnesses to how difficult it can be to calm down when you have a clear stalker on your back and in your phone. Crisis management at this level should be soft and mature to avoid further spooking the persons who feel that they are being threatened or are in danger. |

Generation Gap Still Exists in Our Societyposted on 23 April 2013 in Business and FinanceKeith was having a discussion with his father. He was telling his father why outsourcing would be better for their business. He was trying to explain to him that they would cut down on a lot of cost which incurs in production if they outsourced it to another company. His father however, was not convinced. He felt that the quality of their product would be at a compromise and that was not acceptable to him. He had built this factory and business from scratch. The brand name and reputation was built by him over the years. Now he felt that his son who had studied abroad had new ideas and had bookish knowledge. Experience was more important for him in such matters. His son had no experience in any field although he was very intelligent. A slight mistake in the production line by the outsourced company could harm the reputation of his company. He tried to bring across these points infront of his son. At the end he added, it takes years to build a good reputation but it can be lost within minutes. |

I'm a Self-Taught DIYerposted on 22 April 2013 in Construction and IndustrialEverything I've learnt, I've learny myself. Call me an autodidact, but I love learning by myself. The only things I've had to be taught have been for health and safety reasons e.g. being taught how to use height safety harnesses. I hated school and wanted to find things out by myself. And that includes working on my home too. I learnt to lay concrete, to use screeds, to lay bricks, plaster, paint and even plumb my own house. Oh sure, I've made plenty of mistakes along the way - don't you worry about that. But each mistake has been an education in itself. I often laugh at myself when a mistake is made, but I tell you what - that's a better way to learn than from out of a book. When water is spraying in your face from a bad plumbing job, you learn to do it better next time. And no innocent person suffers from my mistakes apart from myself - so no harm, no foul I say. Get out there and learn. |

Just Got Lucky in Career and in Lifeposted on 21 April 2013 in Business and FinanceWhen I was able to save enough to buy the car I have long wanted to own, I was very happy. I have been working so hard since the day I was hired by this advertising company. It has been six years since then. Time flies indeed. Ever since, the dream of one day being able to buy my own car, has always kept me motivated at work. When I feel tired, I just imagine my dream car and that's enough to get me working again. So when the day came for me to get a car finally, my boss and mentor discussed with me some consumer protection car purchase tips to guide me as I make my first major investment. I have been truly blessed to have found a very good boss in Mr. Cruz. He's been like a father to me, always there to guide me in almost anything I do. When I get out of focus, he helps me out and when I do something good, he is the first to congratulate me for a job well done. |

A Lonely Man Finds a Friend in a Little Boyposted on 9 April 2013 in Food and DrinkA long time ago in a far away land, there lived a man named Ramon. He lived alone and he did not like talking to people. He was often just in his little house, with his cats and dogs. Rumor has it that Ramon was married once upon a time. It is said that he also had kids. But no one knew for sure where they could be and why Ramon was all by himself. One day, a little boy was playing just across Ramons house. For some reason, the boy went to Ramons house and when he saw Ramon, he said, Hello, sir. My name is Pat. If you don't mind, I would like to be your friend. Ramon was speechless as he watched the boy sat beside him. Pat must be so irresistible because he got Ramon to talk. He learned that Ramon cooks well because he used to be a caterer in Derby. Ramon also said that he lost family in an accident many years ago. Since then, the two became good friends and every time Pat came to visit, he made sire he had something to eat prepared for his new friend. |

Gold, Rocks, Mining Towns and Coloradoposted on 5 April 2013 in Holiday and TravelMy wife and I were wanting to visit her parents in Grand Junction, Colorado. We planned on driving from Klamath Falls, Oregon. Before we left, a friend asked if he could go camp out in the canyon while we were at her parents. We agreed, since his wife had just left him. We arrived in Colorado and found it was too cold for him to stay out camping for the week. I planned to take some days and go rocking in the old mining towns- hopefully find gold!! I decided to take my friend on a three day rocking trip. We did lots of driving, hiking, looking for rocks and old buildings and foundations of what used to be. The views of the mountains were awesome. We found one gold mine. We climbed inside and scrapped the ceiling- just for the fools gold. I still have it and one day would like to pan it. Later we teased each other about not leaving our "gold" for the other to steal. It was one of the best 3 days I spent. When we got back we took our van to the oil change and the guys there were commenting on how we were apparently living in our car. I still have many of the wonderful rocks I found, but had to leave lots of them in Oregon when we moved back Indiana. Another holiday idea for your perusal: www.twitchill.co.uk |

My Shawl: by Far the Most Worn Item in My Wardrobeposted on 1 April 2013 in FashionMy favourite colour shawlis a fuscia pink scarf with silver swirling patterns. I bought for four pounds in a market in Bath a couple of years ago. Its bold and colourful and goes with most of my wardrobe so its gets a lot of use. Its such a statement piece and I reguarly get comments on how good it looks with different things. On a fresh early summer morning I pair it with my cropped denim jacket and a pair of skinny black jeans, in the winter it goes well with my black biker style jacket and when I'm going somewhere more formal I can where it with my long fitted cord black coat. Its such an essential peice of my wardrobe that I rarely even consider wearing one of my many other scarfs, and its of course very practical it keeps me very warm as its quite large and has to be folded up into many layers to fit around me. Considering the amount of money I spend on clothes its funny really that one of my most worn items happens to be one of the cheapest buys I have ever found! |

Reginas Small and Desperate World Far from the Cityposted on 27 March 2013 in UncategorisedRegina was born and raised in a desperate and poor province very far from the city. If I Could Build the House of My Dreamsposted on 26 March 2013 in Construction and IndustrialI operate a concrete cutting saw in my job, and I'm often working on self-build projects. It makes me dream of building my own home, and I often dream up crazy ideas. If I could build the house of my dreams, It would be on an island in the South Pacific with no inhabitants but me. It would be a ring of shipping containers, stacked on top of another ring of shipping containers. Every one of them would be anchored into a concrete slab on the ground. I would have a container, for the bathroom/shower area. I would have one to sleep in. I would have one where I made tools or other items in, and one container would be a brewery and still for the crops of sugar cain I would grow there. Another container would be my communication center, hooked up to the outside world by satellite. There would be a container that I would make boats in. It would probably be two or 3 wide, and have a wet dock underneath it, that I would make by digging or dredging. The rings would be primed and painted so that they wouldn't rust. I would get my power from the sun and the wind and from local volcanic vents which can turn steam powered generators. I would collect rain water to drink, and desalinate ocean water with reverse osmosis to have water to irrigate crops and bathe in. I would sell rum and boats to locals to earn a living to pay for more supplies for my island getaway. It would be my little, almost self reliant island retreat, isolated from the rest of the world. It May Take Time, but It Will Be Worth Itposted on 19 March 2013 in Internet RelatedWhen our company decided to do online marketing for a new product it was introducing to the market, I was chosen as the senior marketing manager in the company to shop around for a good seo company which will take us though the marketing. I did my research far and wide, starting with the companies near and in other towns, companies that had already marketed online and they realized their goals. I wanted these companies to recommend the seo companies which did their marketing, because a company which had a proven track record of good performance to me was what I wanted because of a guaranteed seo results. I managed to get three companies from my research and after a series of consultations with the management board of the company and my fellow marketers, we settled to one of them. My research was not in vain because before the end of the marketing period, good results started flowing to the company. This meant a good starting point for our new product, just like we had wanted. |

The secrets to having a long lasting phoneposted on 10 March 2013 in UncategorisedCell phones must never be disposed of in the short term. They are not perishable and their materials are made for long term use. A long lasting phone, aside from it being stolen can be cared for in the following ways. Never using a cell phone to browse the internet elongates its life. A cell phone used online contracts viruses that slowly eat up the system and on average after this the cell phone has only 2 months to live. A long lasting phone is one that is not cloned. Numbers of cloned phones are on www.howdoifindwhocalledme.com where regular visits are advised on as there numbers of sure cloned phone are displayed for public interest. A weekly visit to this site is an assuring step to one that theirs is a cell phone that is only theirs and that no one listens in to calls and reads the same text messages. Too much charging of a cell phone shortens its life span. 3 hours at the most are required for cell phone charging. Beyond that, one will be cooking the battery and the internal memory which unlike a computer cannot be recovered. |

Renewal of Vows Marks Couple's Golden Wedding Anniversaryposted on 9 March 2013 in UncategorisedAnne is planning something special for her parents' golden wedding anniversary. She thinks that being married to the same person for that long is something to be celebrated. Her parents are really inspiring to many couples out there, including to Anne and Gerald. While her parents do not want to make a big deal out of it, Anne insists that they have to celebrate. Realizing that she could not do it alone, Anne seeks the help of Gerald. One night, while Gerald was logged on to www.doesthe.com, Anne approached her and said, I really want to do something special to mark mom and dad's wedding anniversary. They are celebrating fifty years of togetherness and I think they deserve a celebration, don't you think so? Gerald nodded in agreement. The two spent the rest of the night discussing all possibilities. Before they slept that night, they agreed that a renewal of vows would be great for the couple. They also plan to invite the couple's closest families and friends to celebrate with them. Whatever the cost is, Anne just wants the occasion to be perfect for her parents. |

When can I be sure I have moved on from an abusive relationship?posted on 8 March 2013 in UncategorisedA lot of women go through abusive relationships but do not know how to help them. They will stay in these relationships suffering without even calling out for help in the fear that people will laugh at them. When you are caught up in a relationship that is abusive you have the option of letting it go completely where it is physically abusive or when it is emotionally abusive you may decide whether you would stay and instead find ways to be productive while in there. http://www.whencan.co.uk would give you advice on when you can say with finality that your relationship is over. A lot of women will however bare the shame of a failed relationship and blame themselves for all the things that are not working. Doing this for one is hurting yourself. Instead you should ask yourself how you can best be able to live there and not destroy yourself or lose yourself. You should be sincere with yourself and not ruin yourself by refusing to ask for help. You will find it easy to walk through the tough marriage when you have external support that can be a shoulder for you to cry on. More on this Topic: itv.com | investopedia.com |

Its the rule of the working classposted on 3 March 2013 in UncategorisedHearing some workers complain that they are not allowed to talk on the phone is not strange. With all the applications that phones have, it's no wonder that they have become a threat to work ethics. A person will not only browse, but also talk to friends on their phone. Some are even able to view TV channels on their phones. Why then should they be allowed to use them at work? While a healthy debate on www.shouldthe.com is going on about workplace use of phones, the workers need to realize that they don't have a say in it. They can complain about it when no one is listening to them, but at the end of the day, they have to toe the line. You may be asking 'what if they don't?' The simple answer is that they will lose their job and end up broke and jobless. If one really has to talk constantly on the phone, they don't need a job. the two cannot go hand in hand. Either one will be more prominent leaving the other to catch up. |

A Friendship Ruined, Cannot be Fixed Anymoreposted on 27 February 2013 in UncategorisedTrisha, I know you do not like me. Although I do not know your reasons for disliking me, I really do not care. But I can't stand hearing all those false accusations you are throwing at me. why would I even think about sabotaging your auditions? Come on. You and I know I had nothing to do with that. I am not even part of the committee that chooses the participants for the play. So please stop telling everyone that I am the reason why you did not make it to the play. Trisha remained quiet. She feels so embarrassed because she knows that Jane was telling the truth. Now, she does not know how to defend herself. Jane went on to say, Look, I have no illusion that we could still be friends. I know that we are better off being apart. But never would I wish you ill, Trisha. Can you at least do the same for me? Can we just respect each other's spaces? Trisha gathered all her courage to say, I am sorry. It's my fault. I'm really sorry. Then Trisha walked away. |
